Looking and feeling amazing – facial aesthetics for you

As well as a vast range of dental treatments, Blyton Dental offer complimentary treatments to help you achieve the overall look that you desire.

Facial Aesthetics, sometimes known as facial rejuvenation treatments, offer a non-surgical way of reducing the signs of ageing on the face. A natural, more youthful appearance can be achieved with a choice of treatments carried out by a fully trained, qualified professional.

Wrinkles and facial lines result from ageing, your genetic make-up, excessive sun exposure, alcohol consumption, emotional and hormonal influences and even smiling.  At Blyton Dental we can offer professional consultations and treatments to reduce the appearance of facial lines and wrinkles.

We provide conventional facial aesthetics treatments including Botox and dermal fillers but one of the latest trends to improve one’s appearance (and as an alternative to using treatments that contain toxins) Blyton Dental offer a technique which uses Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP).  Many celebrities and influencer's have promoted this technique, the ‘vampire facial’ looks a little like Halloween make-up (don’t be put off… read on!), and the treatment boasts big-time results.

Our blood is comprised of red blood cells and serum, which contain our white blood cells and platelets.  The platelets are super rich in growth factors, essentially acting as energy boosts for our skin, increasing everything from collagen to elastin.  Over the last 3 years, Blyton Dental have been using patient's PRP to promote healing after dental implant and surgical treatments with excellent results.

The treatment process does involve an initial blood draw, at which point a centrifuge is used to isolate those all-important platelets. You will then receive micro needling or microdermabrasion just before PRP is applied to your face. When applied to the skin PRP will stimulate cell turnover, the treatment gives fantastic anti-aging results and can create a more youthful, naturally fuller face and brighter skin tone. You may need 1 to 2 days recovery, depending on how your skin reacts to the microdermabrasion, and your skin may appear a little red, almost like sunburn.  We recommend that you use a post-procedure sunscreen and applying makeup is discouraged.

As a general rule to get maximum benefit 3 treatments at 4 weekly intervals are recommended and then once a year for maintenance.

If you have premature wrinkles, high levels of sun damage or just want to even your skin tone and create a fresher appearance then you may be an ideal candidate for the PRP treatment.

Dermal fillers are non-surgical cosmetic treatments used to bring a more youthful appearance by restoring volume or fullness to the face and lips. They work by restoring lost volume in the lower face by plumping out lines, wrinkles and folds. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is found naturally throughout our bodies and it acts as a lubricant and moisturiser due to its ability to attract and store water. The effects of dermal fillers are seen immediately after treatment.

Blyton Dental offer a range of facial rejuvenation treatments, all carried out in our modern treatment environment.  If you want to know more about PRP and other treatments, then why not get in touch and have a chat with one of our friendly team.
