Welcome to the winter 2021 edition of our practice newsletter. There certainly must be some truth in the saying, being busy makes time fly. It has certainly been a busy year.
The 16th November 2021 marked our sixth birthday here at Blyton Dental. We have welcomed over 8000 patients through our doors in that time. Thank you for all your support.
Some of you may already know that we have opened the Big sister Blyton Dental Scunthorpe in September 2021, this new practice is for both our regular patients who already see us at Blyton but may now find our Scunthorpe practice more convenient and for new patients looking for a family run affordable dental practice. Most of the dentists that you will see their work at our Blyton practice also, but you will see some new faces.
As patients you will have the option to see our dentists or hygienists at either locations depending on your convenience and availability of appointments.
It’s one practice with two premises, our computers and telecoms systems, X-Rays/CT Scans are interconnected. At Scunthorpe we have four ground floor surgeries with plenty of free parking spaces with very easy disabled access.
Brenda joined us in June 2021, and is now working at the Scunthorpe practice as the main dentist doing 4 days a week.
There has been lots of other changes this year. At the start of the year we welcomed George who joined us as our Saturday dentist doing two Saturdays a month in Blyton. Samantha also joined us in August two days a week at Scunthorpe offering our hygiene service.
Then in September, Ruth joined us working at both Blyton and Scunthorpe offering Invisalign and facial asethics. Ellie will be leaving to go on maternity and we wish her well.
We feel extremely fortunate to have recruited Emily, Jade, Kimberley and Michelle. Michelle has joined our reception team but is also a qualified nurse, and Emily, a qualified dental nurse and Jade and Kimberley as trainee dental nurses. We are delighted to welcome them and wish them a very happy future with us.
