Dr Arun Thomas BDS, MFDS RCPS (Glasg), MSc.

Dental Surgeon

Dr Thomas graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dental Surgery in 2003.He has worked as a teaching resident in prosthodontics, Oral & Maxillofacial surgery before joining a general dental practice in Gainsborough in 2008 . 

Arun is a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons,Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow.

Arun has a special interest in Cosmetic & Advanced Restorative Dentistry (which involves Smile Make-Overs, Dental Implantology and Orthodontics for adult patients)

He has a Masters Degree in Cosmetic Restorative Dentistry form UCLAN (University of Central Lancashire) and has undergone further post graduate training in the field of Dental Implantology.

Arun is a full member of BACD(British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry) and a certified Inman Aligner Dentist .He maintains his memberships with AACD(American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry), BDA(British Dental Association) and ADI(Association of Dental Implantology) and has been accepting treatment referrals for cosmetic restorative dentistry cases over the last few years from fellow dentists in Lincolnshire and Humber region.

In his spare time he is a keen photographer and enjoys playing cricket.


Dr Sharon Jacob BDS, MFDS RCPS (Glasg).

Dental surgeon

Dr Jacob graduated with a Bachelors degree in Dental Surgery in 2007.She was awarded the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons at the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons, Glasgow in 2014 and is currently studying towards a masters degree in general practice

Sharon is a caring person and has a wonderful way with our elderly and nervous patients and continues to maintain an excellent rapport with them.

She is a great listener to her patients and all our patients find her very approachable and understanding.

She has completed a yearlong postgraduate course in cosmetic and restorative dentistry with the renowned dentist, Dr Paul Tipton. She maintains her keen academic interests in the fields of Oral Medicine & Oral Pathology. Sharon is currently pursuing her Masters Degree in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Birmingham.

On the days she is not working, she is busy with her little girl, Nandita .


Dr Rajashri Lakshmipathi BDS

Dental surgeon

Dr Lakshmipathi, popularly known as Raj, is a general dental practitioner with a special interest in maxillofacial surgery. Following her graduation in 1996 she did extended training in maxillofacial surgery and has been working as a dentist for over 15 years.

Raj provides a warm persona and welcoming attitude which helps to put people at ease. She has managed to turn around patients' anxieties and phobias surrounding dentistry and many nervous patients have been transformed by Raj.

Straight talking, she involves patients in the decision making process and will give all the information necessary to help patients improve their dental health and hygiene through self care.

She is mum to two boisterous boys, who keep her busy enough so that she has no need to join any fitness classes. She is an excellent cook and always there for family and friends when in need. If she has any time after all of this she enjoys gardening and a stroll down the village.


Sherif Abbas Ali, BEng (Hons), DDS MFDS RCPS (Glasgow), PgDip Restorative dentistry, MSc Oral surgery.

After qualifying in 2011 Sherif joined us at Blyton in 2016. His manner with patients and modern approach means he has become popular with patients at Blyton. 

Sherif has gained further masters qualifications obtaining a dentist with special interest status in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. Whilst he enjoys all facets of his career he holds a special interest in the high standard cosmetic treatments he carries out, obtaining beautiful smiles through minimally invasive techniques as well as facial aesthetics treatment such anti-wrinkle injections and lip augmentation.  

Sherif also works in multiple practices in Yorkshire acting as mentor for newly qualified dentists. He is heavily involved in teaching oral surgery and restorative techniques to other dentists at a postgraduate level.  Sherif is currently working a third master degree in dental implants. He has a calming manner and always manages to put patients at their ease which is what our patients at Blyton rightly expect.

Sherif is passionate about dentistry and in his spare time likes to wind down through travel. 


Clare Padgett CEB Dip Dent Hygiene 1995

Dental Hygienist 

Clare qualified from the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital Sheffield in 1995 and now has over 21 years’ experience as an Extended Duties Dental Hygienist.

As apassionate oral health educator, she has attended several courses further expanding her clinical skills and knowledge.

Clare is a warm and enthusiastic member of our team who takes pride in the care of the oral hygiene needs of all our patients and staff. She takes time to treat, empathise and educate all her patients, making them feel comfortable, particularly those who may at first feel nervous.

Outside of work, Clare manages her son’s school Parents & Teacher Association, she is a keen gardener and enjoys visiting the North Yorkshire Moors for adventures with her family.



Emma Ford RDN (National Certificate)

Emma started with us in June 2019 after working at Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust for 9 years in the Emergency Dental Department.

Emma started working as a Dental Nurse in 1993 and qualified in 1997, she went on to complete a Dental radiography for Dental Nurses course in 2017. 

Having worked as a Dental Nurse at various practices in Suffolk covering NHS, Private and Independent she progressed into management in 2016. She completed a level 2 certificate in leadership and management skills in 2013. Emma’s focus is patient journey from start to finish and supporting the team to provide a first-class service. Emma keeps her clinical skills up to date so you may see her nursing from time to time.  Emma also works in the out of hours emergency service for NHS England evenings and weekends helping patients who don’t have a regular dentist.

In her spare time Emma enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs Gizmo and Dexter. 


Janet Linfoot


Janet comes from a management background and has been in the Dental sector for 7 years. Janet is the face of the practice and always endeavors to put patients at ease at their first port of call. Empathetic and caring, Janet is patient centered and strives to offer a first class service to anyone who attends Blyton Dental. 

In her spare time Janet likes to walk her two lively dogs and spend time with her husband.


Lianne Fox RDN. (NVQ Level 3)

Dental Nurse/

Clinical Co-ordinator & Practice senior

Lianne qualified in 2014 with a level 3 NVQ in dental nursing  and then furthered her knowledge with a BDA Education Certificate in Dental Radiography the following year.  

Lianne started with us in April 2017 after working at a practice in Grimsby. Since qualifying, she has had experience with general dentistry and assists with surgical procedures and implant placement. She particularly enjoys working with children increasing their confidence and reducing anxiety if they have any. In her capacity as Clinical co-ordinator, Lianne maintains stock levels, mentors our junior nurses and takes responsibility for cross infection prevention at the practice.

Lianne is keen to gain experience and further knowledge within the adult orthodontics field we provide here at Blyton

Outside of work Lianne likes to spend time with her partner and keeps busy with  her four legged family . If that doesn't sound busy enough, Leanne also is undertaking the renovation of a 200 year old farmhouse!

Fiona Corr RDN

Fiona joined Blyton Dental in October 2018. She brings with her over thirty years of experience within Dentistry and has a passion for what she does. When Fiona started as a Dental nurse, qualification wasn’t a necessity to practise. Fiona chose to take the examinations and better her already extensive knowledge ten years ago by taking the national certificate in Dental Nursing which she passed with flying colours.

Her career started in general dentistry but her interests saw her moving towards oral surgery in which she has worked for the last five years.

Fiona has an interest in patient management during difficult extractions and biopsies. Her demeanour and positive, supportive way with patients means that she is a vital support during the patient journey.

In her down time, Fiona loves nothing more than spending time with her family which includes her husband, three children and two grandchildren, cooking and travelling. Fiona would like to continue developing her career and is looking at completing her oral health education qualification.


Clare Briggs

Clare started dental nursing in 1989 and registered as a Dental nurse on the grandparent scheme in 2007. Clare has worked extensively in general dentistry and has experience in oral surgery. Implants are an area of special interest for Clare,she likes how it can completely transform someone's smile. Having worked long term at four practices, she works hard to maintain happy and cohesive working relationships with her colleagues and is a caring, capable professional for her patients. 

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her husband and three grown up children and her dog Diesel. She enjoys shopping, interior design and socialising. 


Joanna Darley
Trainee Dental nurse

Joanna joined us as a Saturday receptionist in July 2017. Her way with patients and willingness to learn made her an ideal candidate when a position became available so in September 2017 she embarked on her career as a Dental Nurse. Joanna is a kind and caring nurse who enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She is keen to learn and puts the patient at the centre of her focus at all times.

Studying towards her NVQ level three takes up much of her spare time but with the rest of her time she spends it socialising with her friends and family, her three dogs and keeps fit at the gym.


Ellie Bradley
Trainee dental nurse

Ellie began dental nursing in 2017 at an oral surgery and general dental practice. Ellie joined us at Blyton in late 2018 and has settled into the team incredibly well. 

Ellie has a keen interest in oral surgery so once she has completed her NVQ level 3 in Dental Nursing she hopes to continue her studies in this area as well as gaining a post qualification in radiography for dental nurses.

Ellie's well organised and our go-to person with computer questions! 

 In her spare time Ellie says she is a foodie and enjoys trying new foods whenever she can. She's very outdoorsy and likes to go to the Peak District for long walks and fresh air. As well as her walking and studying she likes to keep fit at the gym and enjoys socialising with her friends.
