This lovely lady came to us with her upper teeth in a really loose state. She was extremely dental phobic due to a previous bad experience from a school dentist and had generally avoided dentists since then. Her remaining upper teeth could not be saved and she hated the idea of wearing a denture.
We restored her upper arch with an 'all on four' hybrid implant bridge. Her remaining upper teeth were extracted and four implants were placed followed by a temporary fixed bridge which was fitted on the same day.
She had intravenous sedation which made the whole procedure rather comfortable for her. Four months later, we converted the provisional to a long term bridge. She is a lot less nervous about dental procedures now and has been attending regularly ever since.
Dentistry has changed a lot over the years. Lots of people suffering from bad teeth and gums are reluctant to seek help due to their nervousness, primarily from previous bad experiences.
At Blyton Dental, we do our best to provide a relaxing and comfortable environment to have your treatment, and over the years we have managed to bring a lot of patients out of that real dental phobia. Our sedationists will work next to the dentists to make sure patients are relaxed throughout the procedure.
