Telescopic overdentures can be a great alternative to implant-supported overdentures. If the patient has a few teeth which are strong, we can use them as a support to restore the teeth.
This gentleman had a few missing teeth and he was unhappy with the dentures because they were very loose and he didn’t want them to cover the roof of the mouth, and he was not very keen to explore the dental implant option due to his medical history. So, we used his remaining teeth as a support and placed some primary crowns on them, and the telescopic overdentures will sit on top of it.
It’s a highly precise attachment which gives excellent retention and it’s very easy to remove and clean as well.
