Upper and Lower All-on-X

After wearing an upper denture for 30 years, this lady was unhappy with its fit.

Her remaining lower teeth were also loose and she wanted to explore a fixed option.

Long-term denture use can be associated with bone loss, but her CBCT scan showed enough bone to plan for four implants in the upper arch.

We used her scan, clinical photographs, and digital impressions to plan her provisional teeth.

Her remaining lower teeth were removed and implants were placed in both arches.

Fixed temporary bridges were fitted, followed by her final bridges after five months of healing.

She noticed a difference in her speech and appearance even while wearing the temporary bridges and was delighted with the final result.

Implant treatment, including an All-on-X approach, may be an option for some people who have struggled with dentures.

Suitability and the amount of available bone must be assessed individually, and a previous opinion may not reflect what is possible with current assessment and treatment options.
