This gentleman came with a severe deep bite. His teeth were worn out and his lower bridge was hitting on the roof of his mouth.
We began by recording the approximate reduction in height of the lower part of his face due to loss of teeth over the years.
A wax diagnostic model of the new restorations were made. They were used to make provisional bridges and composite build ups to the new height.
This was left in place for a couple of months to help him get used to the new height of his face. We replaced his lower bridge and his occlusal rehabilitation was completed with a telescopic over denture in the upper arch.
Telescopic over dentures can be a real cost effective alternative for multiple implant supported restorations.
